Events & Newsletters

Each year AVLT offers educational workshops and events, such as docent-led hikes that demonstrate river restoration techniques or feature native flora and fauna. Other events might demonstrate best management practices for ranch road building and maintenance, effective trail design, map and compass skills, the benefits of conservation easements, or the process a landowner would go through to establish an easement.

Upcoming Events

You can call the AVLT office (895-3150) or email us to be on our event contact list. Please include your name, email, and/or phone number.

WILDFLOWER WALK

Saturday, April 18th, 2009

On Saturday, April 18th, 2009 at 1:00pm AVLT Board members will walk with Clare Wheeler and Jane Miller to see and learn about the many spring wildflowers on the Bickell Ranch outside of Yorkville. Please call the office at 707.895.3150 for carpooling and other details.

Newsletters

AVLT publishes a twice-yearly newsletter called Good Dirt. It is mailed to every property owner on record within the watershed, to our supporters outside the watershed, and to others who request it. The newsletter presents portraits of local flora and fauna, related articles about easements, conservation techniques, and information about our workshops and events.
